2018 was the founding year of Hawkeye, and despite a short 2018, we had quite the year of growth and accomplishments. From the founding of our Ring of Elysium and Rainbow Six teams, to the RoE team being one of the first teams to participate in New Meta Tournaments’ RoE Competitive League (RoECL). Hawkeye has definitely shown it’s desire and strive to be on Another Altitude. Our Rainbow Six team had the honor of participating in several ESL tournaments, including the Six Invitational 2019 Online Qualifiers. In February of 2019, we had a very close run at the ESA Spring Qualifiers- but not enough to solidify us for the league. Alongside these, we brought alongside variety streamer Aviastru to the nest, who has represented us well on Twitch.
In the new year, we’ve hit a couple of road bumps, but view this as an opportunity to solidify our organization and improve our management structure.
Firstly, we have parted ways with our Ring of Elysium team. We had a lot of good runs with the roster, but due to directional differences the team has decided to part ways from Hawkeye. The board, as a collective, understands their decision and wishes the best for Atom26, Seducti0n, Xile_Zero, SugahSHANE, F3RR1T, Bpug, and SerpantKing. May your adventures in Mt. Dione/Europa Island be plentiful and your future ventures in Ring of Elysium reap many profits.
With this, we have decided to put our full focus into our Rainbow Six roster as our flagship competitive team. Our performance in the ESA Spring Qualifiers are promising in the new year, and we’d like to put our full attention into building the roster and preparing them for higher-level competition. Hawkeye will be prospecting for future competitive scenes in this time period, but we’d like to make sure our Rainbow Six team has everything they need.
Streamers will continue to be scouted for, and we will look to invest in our current streamers more via graphics packages and socials. Hawkeye sees the platform of Twitch as a great way to expand our community while contributing to the Twitch community likewise.
To conclude, myself and CanadianMilkBag have decided to bring on Baron as a board member. Baron has exhibited passion and dedication to Hawkeye Esports and we view him as a very important inclusion to give not only another active board member, but a diligent and hard-working member to help grow Hawkeye in 2019.
We can only hope for the best in 2019, and we thank our current supporters who have done so since then. Thank you for staying on our altitude, and we welcome any new community members to come join us on Another Altitude.
